Colour: part 4

In short, colors greatly influence the health and well being of all the different aspects of human beings from physical, emotional to mental and spiritual.

It is the underlying function of color to bring all aspects of ourselves into harmony, health and joyfully vibrant well being.

Each of us has what is called an “etheric blueprint” which we were born with, which lives within our auric fields. We affect this blueprint toward health or disease, with our thoughts, emotions and beliefs. One of the essential aspects of healing is the willingness to carefully look at how our thoughts and emotional states are affecting our health. Also, our thoughts, emotional energy and frequency are constantly being broadcast outward in electromagnetic sound and color frequencies that are mostly unrecognized or unconscious.

As we become more aware of our personal energy, and choose to raise and “tune” our frequency in being vibrantly healthy, joyfully fulfilled, loving and compassionate, our “etheric broadcast” becomes, in a sense, high frequency “vibrational food” for others, who are naturally drawn to our energy fields to partake in that nourishment.

It is the intention of the Moonee Ponds MindBodyHealth Centre to maintain a staff and practitioners who can heart fully offer such an “etheric broadcast” that then, simply through frequency alone, (not to speak of the rich panoply of everything else that is being offered) impacts the health of those who participate in the healing energy of the center.

I close this blog entry on color with an amazingly complete look in a one wheel overview, of color and its associated gemstones, complementary/transmitting opposite color, associated chakra, spiritual qualities, musical pitches, essences and esoteric attributes! I have found it very helpful and accurate in my life long journey to understanding the powerful nature of color/sound as a healing force.

Unfortunately, I have lost the source for this useful chart over the years, so if you know whose work it is, please let me know, (please comment) as I would certainly want to credit the person on this website when I have his/her name. I hope this short sharing inspires you to investigate further the exciting world of color and sound!

I offer heart felt appreciation to Dr. Anne Small who is the visionary space holder of this center (and to Lana Whittington, the amazing Dakini Designer, who asked me to write this color entry), for this opportunity to share my passion for color and sound with whomever is drawn to look at the unfolding miracle of this amazing Moonee Ponds MindBody Health Centre!!

In the next entry I will take a more in depth look at the sacred geometries (which I alluded briefly to at the first of this sharing) , that are being used to enhance the healing environment through the windows, art etc.
Blessings from a fellow journeyer… ariel

Colour: part 3

Because colors or so important to healing, in Moonee Ponds MindBody Health Centre, each color utilized from wall colors, to art and carpeting colors has been very consciously chosen for its healing properties.

For example; we have selected violet and gold for the meditation area in the health center.

The violet and gold will be most evident in the glass art windows we have commissioned and designed so that the colour will transmit in the form of light into the space of the mediation platform. There is also an incredible piece of artwork in violet and purples predominantly.
You can also refer to the chart to see where gold and violet are in the spectrum of vibration. They are the shortest wavelength and highest vibration colors. They uplift and bring up the frequency of those who enter this field. The power of colored light was well understood in ancient times .

Leonardo Da Vinci wrote: “The power of healing and meditation can be ten times greater under violet light falling through the stained glass window of a sanctuary.”

This is exactly the effect we are creating and amplifying in the meditation area of the Moonee Ponds MindBody Health Centre. Max Haim, a highly sensitive member of our Dakini Design team, also placed large amethyst (violet) and clear (white) quartz crystals on the energy lines that he determined run beneath the building itself to amplify the magnetic healing energies that are naturally emitted by the earth itself.

We have chosen an overall green spectrum based yellow colour for walls and a deeper green for the carpet, because it acts as a balancer, creating a feeling of calm, peaceful restiveness which is conducive to healing. Green lies midway between red and violet in the color spectrum and along with its complementary color rose pink, is associated with the colors emitted by the heart chakra.

It was for this same reason that a large rose quartz sphere was placed in the meditation garden outside, combining the green of nature with the pink of universal healing and unconditional love.

Green is a master healing color in so far as the most important element in healing is to bring whatever is necessary into balance and to assist in maintaining a calm, peaceful energy, attitude and frequency in the space.

Blue is a color which is often used for inducing a serene and calming feeling in the environment. Blue is associated with the throat chakra and is used to enhance communication and clarity. The reception area upper windows were specifically elected to contain a beautiful blue based stined glass. The colour that is emitted by these is a real ultra blue tone . The reception counter also contains labradorite an iridescence of green, yellow, orange and peacock blue ...more on the reception counter to come ....

We have chosen purple because, though it is a very high vibration color associated with the brow or third eye chakra of opening intuition, spiritual insight and vision, it also vibrationally holds properties associated with release and purification as well. When one is relaxed and opened through massage, these beneficial states are enhanced through the use of the high vibrating frequency of purple in these areas.

Healers often use color in various ways (through crystals, light boxes, direct energy and sound transmission, etc.) to change the vibratory rate of different parts of the physical and etheric bodies.

In this higher vibratory state, the physical body becomes more sensitive and receptive to the healing force which flows through the healer via the etheric and subtle bodies, with the intention of bringing back into harmony, parts that were vibrating out of alignment with the original etheric blueprint of health and well being.

Color is powerful.

Most of us take color and its impact on us totally for granted. It affects us mostly at a subliminal level of awareness, but its effects on us are powerful none the less. That is why in creating a consciously constructed healing environment, such as Moonee Ponds MindBody Health Centre, color has been a major consideration rather than being simply an aesthetic or decorative choice.

Edgar Cayce, a well known clairvoyant who lived in the early 1900’s defined color this way: “Color is vibration; vibration is motion, motion (frequency) slows to coalesce into form. In essence, form can be looked at as crystallized music. The vibrations we reflect of those color vibrations received from without, mirror our own soul through the colors we choose to have around us and our color preferences. As human beings, if we are to have growth on all levels of being from physical to spiritual, we must learn to use color vibrations consciously and constructively.”

Color is vibration and has wavelengths which effect living tissues. When wavelengths of color vibration are received by the human body, they penetrate and stimulate or slow down various glands, organs and systems within the body. The body mentally and physically responds to color vibrations immediately whether we are consciously aware of it or not.

Basically, the first three colors in the spectrum red, orange and yellow are associated with the earth and correspond with the first three chakras in the human energy field.

Red stimulates and energizes, creating vitality.

Orange builds confidence and courage.

Yellow stimulates clear mental functioning and cheerfulness.

Green sits in the middle in the heart area of the human body and is the great balancer and harmonizer. It is a master healer.

The upper chakra colors of blue, indigo/purple, violet and white, correspond with the less dense frequencies of air.

Blue inspires, yet also makes serene.

Indigo/purple is both a purifier and opener to high frequency awareness.

Violet uplifts and opens higher centers of awareness, opening psychic vision, uniting devotion and intuition.

Clear white light vibrates and unifies the entire field in a chakra that exists just above the crown on the head.

Our bodies are designed to assimilate color as a kind of vibratory “food”. The subtle bodies which clairvoyants can see, that surround the physical body are rooted in our 7 chakra’s (color energy wheels from the Sanskrit) which combine to form the auric color field that surrounds the physical body, which is called the “etheric body”.

This has been documented scientifically with a form of photography called Kirlian Photography. Some highly sensitive healers can actually see these energetic color fields of the chakras and from the color and condition of the auric field alone can diagnosis illness in the various systems of the human body. How miraculous that we are so sensitively designed as human beings!

The potential for illness shows up in these subtle energy bodies before it actually manifests in the physical body. Dark spots, tares or washed out color areas in the auric color field indicate that, though an illness may not have physically manifested as yet, if holistic measures are not taken to bring into balance that which is out of balance, (mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually), disease will certainly manifest in the near future.

That is why an holistic approach such as Moonee Ponds MindBodyHealth Centre is using is so essential and valuable. Its focus is on creating vibrant health and the prevention of disease. In a holistic system, the human being is looked at as a totality from all the different lenses from physical to spiritual, to discover where an imbalance that is needing to be brought to awareness and corrected actually lies.

That is why there are so many different practitioners in the health center.

Each one represents a different facet of a healing whole, that is brought to bear in the holistic diagnosis and treatment of each person who comes to the center.

Regarding the Power of Color as it Relates to a Healing Environment.
Ariel Spilsbury, Dakini Space Alchemy Design Team

Everything in the manifest Universe is made up of vibration.
(Physicists call this phenomenon “String Theory”.)

Color represents a certain section of the vibrational spectrum of all created matter, that part which we can “see”. Essentially color and sound are the same thing, just different frequency bands of vibratory expression of one continuum. When you put sand on a drum head and introduce a pure tone, a geometric pattern suddenly appears, from the sand which gathers at nodes that vibrate at that frequency. This science is called Cymatics and clearly demonstrates how invisible sound becomes manifest form, consequently showing that sacred geometries underlie and structure the whole of manifested reality!

Robert Lawlor in his book Sacred Geometry speaks of this very eloquently: “Our different perceptual faculties such as sight, hearing, touch and smell are a result of various proportioned reductions of one vast spectrum of vibratory frequencies. We can understand these proportional relationships as a sort of geometry of perception.” (The charts on this blog are also available in this book , as they will be difficult to see clearly on here)

Essentially simplified, sound becomes light, light becomes color, light/color and sound vibration become form.
Thus one can see that color is a very important tool for bringing into form such effects as are defined or identified as being “healing”. Take a close look at the two charts below which offer a very concise and clear picture of where the visible color and sound spectrum fit into the overall vibratory pattern of creation. These charts are derived from the science of frequency and denote the vibrations per second of each “color”, the spectrum manifestation, tone in sound and the chemical element which vibrates at the same frequency range.

Beauty is in the detail

There is so much beauty to be found in the smallest things.

I have often questioned whether i am a bit nuts, but i absolutely love these images as they point out the geometry that is inherent even in the joins between columns and plasterwork.

So far all of this has just been floating around as visions in our heads, these details are what keep us up at night, and early sketches or detailed documentation cant show this. It is only now that the building is taking shape and plasterwork, paint and cornices are being added that we can start to see the beauty of the geometry unfolding before our eyes.

Geometry is the crux of growth and when you look at the spiral affect of the corner positions of the roof line meeting the walls and the shapes created by the partition walls it is like looking into a spiral growth pattern such as that of cactus plants for example.
