The strands of our DNA, the cornea of our eye, snow flakes, pine cones, flower petals, diamond crystals, the branching of trees, a nautilus shell, the star we spin around, the galaxy we spiral within, the air we breathe, and all life forms as we know them emerge out of timeless geometric codes.

The designs of exalted holy places from the prehistoric monuments at Stonehenge and the Pyramid of Khufu at Giza, to the world's great cathedrals, mosques, and temples are based on these same principles of sacred geometry.

As far back as Greek Mystery schools 2500 years ago it was taught that there are five perfect 3-dimensional forms - the tetrahedron, hexahedron, octahedron, dodecahedron, and icosahedron...collectively known as the Platonic Solids; and that these form the foundation of everything in the physical world.



Modern scholars ridiculed this idea until the 1980's, when Professor Robert Moon at the University of Chicago demonstrated that the entire Periodic Table of Elements - literally everything in the physical world - truly is based on these same five geometric forms. In fact, throughout modern physics, chemistry, and biology, the sacred geometric patterns of creation are today being rediscovered.

The ancients knew that these patterns were codes symbolic of our own inner realm and that the experience of sacred geometry was essential to the education of the soul. Viewing and contemplating these forms can allow us to gaze directly at the face of deep wisdom and glimpse the inner workings of The Universal Mind.


Why sacred geometry for that matter?

Geometry is the basis of all life forms .

Why Circles?



The circle accommodates all shapes within itself. It is a metaphor for unity and wholeness, a reflection of the outer world and our inner selves. A complete circle without end or beginning, symbolises the divine nature of reality. It is the one.

The creative process involves two, thus the symbolism of the two intersecting circles. The linked circles create an almond shaped area of negative space called the Vesica Pisces. In Sacred Geometry, this is the "womb of creation for all the proportions necessary to generate the polygons found in nature and the five Platonic volumes."*

Initially, the intersecting circles creating the visuals for this site, was an intuitive sketch , a hand drawing . In researching sacred geometry, I became aware of the profound significance of that intuition. The two intersecting circles create (give birth to) a third shape (Vesica Pisces, the womb, birthplace, place for creation). The intersecting circles create points of transformation along the border of the circles where they touch or enter into each other.

Colour choice for this site design will also form an important aspect. Light yellow represents light (as opposed to pigment), the light of the sun or natural light. Light as life, and enlightenment. Blue green colours are harmonious with yellow and near yellow on the colour wheel. Blue green, the colour of growth and converting energy into substance, as in photosynthesis. The symbolism being converting ideas into reality.

The geometric relationships and archetypal shapes and patterns that occur and reoccur through out the physical universe are deeply rooted in nature. The Golden Mean (ideal proportion, is pi's relationship in pentagonal geometry and natures design). The Fibonacci sequence is "**a mathematical sequence where each number in the sequence is determined by adding together the previous two: 0,1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55... The ratio of adjacent numbers in the sequence progressively approaches the golden mean proportions of 1:1.618".

There is documented human cognitive preferences for the golden mean proportions throughout recorded history. Artists, architects and designers have implemented this mathematical guide to proportion since ancient times.

"Plato said the soul is a circle. A horizontal line across the circle to represent the line of separation of the conscious and the unconscious. The dot in the centre of the circle, below the horizontal line, represents the centre from which all our energy comes. Above the horizontal line is the ego, represented as a square: that aspect of our consciousness that we identify as our centre. But it's very off-centre. We think this is what is running the show, but it isn't."

Mind health and soul

Just got back from an exhibition on the Gold Coast for Well being , and still, there is nothing in Australia quite like this centre will be . 

It is amazing to be part of a project so distinctive and unusual.

The arched window




Just like play school ! the arched windows either side of the original stage area are significant in that they contribute to the existing era of the architecture and the geometry of the arch as you walk through the space allows for the flow of energy to meander at the height it should to connect and interplay between the front building and the middle and back parts of the building .

A new atmosphere



The form of the partitions has really given a whole new atmosphere to this part of the building so far , these are a couple of favourite pictures.

These photos are of the main reception and waiting area space , with the circle shape creating the waiting area and the outer wall dividing the practitioner rooms . 

The views from above are great and will be what is seen from the upper meditation platform , eventually .

In relation to the geometry , the vesica pisces or two concentric circles dissecting,  have interplay in this area to create the circular shapes , so the resulting form is very sacred .

 Further to this, the inner and outer circles form a nurturing environment for the people both waiting to see a practitioner, and those who enter the safe rooms of each practitioner.

The journey continues from the entrance which began the process of self reflection excellent for healing and regeneration and into the safe and comforting womb like, shelter in the waiting area.

Timber flooring goes down





Next comes some partitioning and the space really starts to take shape . 
It is so amazing to see designs begin to manifest into reality , not just drawings on the page. 

More floor and stuff





























More floor stuff, just catching up on the lighting speed building work that has taken place with these run of photos. 

Building has been going at such a great pace that getting the time to blog about it has been difficult . 

The photos are about 6 weeks or so behind the current stages of building , but i 
think it is great to still put them up to see the progress and changes 

So here goes , a run of a few photos to see how building is progressing .

and later,  onto some info about what the dakini team has been up to behind the scenes !
