During the building process there was found, nesting doves in the rafters. A white dove would often fly around and settling in the beams and rafters of the main space and particularly above the upper meditation platform. In a book titled Ancient Mystic Rites by Charles Webster Leadbeater he writes... "evidence that three colums bore a sacred meaning is wrtitien in the despcriotion by Sir Arthur Evans ...the three columns sit on a common base..they are the pillars of the house and the doves settled above them are the outward and visible sign of the divine presence and protection. The doves symbolize the decent of divinity into the building ..."
By synchronicity we sourced some light fittings in the form of white birds to represent these doves and retain the symbolism that the real dove began ...without the bird poop of course !
