the count down begins

It is time to start counting down to the opening day.
On August the 1st 2009 there were exactly 40 days to go
We will try to put something up each day to showcase the progression and the final days of construction and building.
So for today I can tell you I am working on the following things
  • Nautilus shell final position and layout above the reception counter
  • A door handle schedule and locks for all doors throughout the building of which there are 0ver 50 !
  • The window tinting schedule ; which windows will have tint or not
  • Curtains and blinds throughout
A gorgeous sheer fabric curtain in the front part of the building in a shimmering gold which has a peacock blue tone shot through it , like the reflective nature of butterfly wings , sometimes you see gold sometimes you see blue.
The Chinese Medicine area has a woven textured roman blind with battens in mahogany to match the rose wood look cabinetry throughout this area.

There is a gossamer gauze like textured blind to many of the windows which acts as a light filtering patterned element in the rooms ; combined with a block out blind for absolute privacy when required.
