'the lost art of sacred building'

This blog has investigated the importance of designing based on the key principles of sacred geometry and energetic awareness for the purpose of healing.

The project is Moonee Ponds MindBody Helath Centre in Melbourne, Victoria.

Please enjoy the diary adventure of the design, development , construction and opening of the Moonee Ponds MindBody Health Centre.

the lower meditation room

Another example of the Fibonacci maths at work , this window that separates the waiting area form the lower meditation room is divided according to this maths . This sets up a natural vibration of resonating nature and natural rhythms and resonance and is particularly good for people to see while waiting to be treated. Even though perhaps it may not register exactly that this is what they are seeing , it will somehow trigger an innate understanding of ourselves and our place in this wider picture called the universe ....believe it or not. This is essentially what all the design and interior work has been designed to do, each aspect of the interior reflects a particular symbology or geometry, or connects back to some sort of origin.

The natural angle of this window is directly in response to the sacred geometry of the triangle that was present right form the beginning. In very early blog entries we showed the diagram of the star tetrahedron , which was found to be in the corner stone points of the existing architecture and thus a natural place for the meditation rooms.

The triangle is perhaps the most easily recognized geometry. It holds the energetic intention for the meditation area. The triangular shape is created through the use of carpet design and angles in relationship to the walls. The triangle is a symbol for unity. Any two things you can name have resolution in a third position hot/cold/warm, black/white/grey etc. Two always implies three. Triangles express relationship, strength, balance and energy, which make them a natural geometry to select for the meditation area.

What is also implied in the space, is the double triangle, called in geometry the merkaba or star tetrahedron, of one upward pointing triangle and one downward pointing triangle. This geometry is reflected in the human energy field. This energetic pattern is depicted very clearly in Leonard De Vinci’s famous drawing of a man with outstretched arms and legs. This geometry is also demonstrated by the first 16 cells of a human blastocyst, (before becoming a foetus) which at 512 cells becomes a tube torus geometry that flows energy from the two poles into the center, (which are fractally recapitulated in the magnetic fields that flow from the north and south poles of our planet).

The intention in the meditation space is, to enter into the flowing, balanced, magnetic energy that surrounds the human body and to enter the larger magnetic field, as one sits in the meditation space, to assist participants with balance, strength, and to renew and increased physical energy. This is done by fractal self similarity , or by way of consciously or subconsciously recognising that we are all part of the one heart universe and the design and architecture reminds us of this.
