The following is an excerpt from writings Ariel Spilsbury has composed throughout the course of the project with the DAKINI project team.
The flower of life geometry is a seminal geometrical symbol that is made up of many vesica pisces. It was selected as one of the overarching geometries with which the Moonee Ponds Centre was designed as a totality. It is fractally reflected in many ways within the design. It is the design in Dr. Anne’s office window and the meditation garden outside, which falls in the centre of one of the overview vesica’s that energetically holds space for people to find comfort and embrace while sitting in the garden.
The flower of life geometry has been found literally everywhere on Earth from Egypt to Iceland, China, Tibet, Greece, England, to the Yucatan. It can be looked at as the most powerfully embedded geometrical symbol because it contains within it, the archetypal pattern for all life. The geometrical patterns for all languages, all musical laws, all laws of physics, all biological life forms are contained symbolically within it. It is called the flower of life geometry because its meaning derives from the metaphor of a tree. A fruit tree as it grows flowers and then fruits. The fruit falls and in each one there are many seeds and each seed has in it the complete holographic* image of the tree to begin the creation cycle once again. Thus, contained within the flower of life is the entire creational process. As people sit in rooms of the centre, casually glancing at this symbol of the Flower of Life that is one of the designs on the window, this geometry holds the intention of bringing them into harmony with the creational cycle of which they are naturally a part.
* hologram/ holographic etc: A hologram is a multidimensional image that is created when a coherent light source like a laser beam is beamed through a mirror onto the surface of a photographic plate. Even when broken into its smallest part, each part still contains all the information integral to recreation of the whole. (In Star Wars, Princess Leah was one of the first demonstrable holograms in film, that was made from this then, new technology that became available as the laser beam was discovered.)
